Why TheaterClarity Exists as a community theater management platform
Small and community theaters often ask a limited staff and dedicated volunteers to manage applications, auditions, casting, rehearsals, attendance, costumes, props, schedules, and communications at the same time. That work is frequently spread across paper forms, spreadsheets, email threads, and separate records.
TheaterClarity brings that work together in one secure, organized place designed specifically around the way small and community theaters operate.
The goal is simple: make essential information easier to find, update, and share so theater leaders can spend less time managing disconnected records and more time producing successful shows.

A LITTLE ABOUT ME
My theater experience goes all the way back to high school, when I played Mr. Poppenberger in a production of Learn, Baby, Learn. We even experimented with theater-in-the-round. I don’t remember how successful the production was—it was a long time ago—but apparently the theater bug stuck.
A few years later, I became involved with Rogers Little Theater in Rogers, Arkansas, where I served on its charter Board of Directors and was part of its inaugural 1986 production of Barefoot in the Park. I also appeared in its second production, Godspell, playing Judas. Over the years, I’ve been involved in productions of Tribute, Same Time, Next Year, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and many, many more.
I don’t claim to be an expert in community-theater management, but I do have a lot of experience with the realities of putting on a show. I remember the organized chaos: trying to keep 20 or 30 creative people moving in the same direction, keeping track of props, building sets, managing rehearsals and schedules, and handling all the other details that have to come together to make good theater great.
A few months ago, I began thinking about how much easier some of that work could be for directors, producers, managers, and volunteers. What if you could open one application and have the information you need right at your fingertips instead of scattered among spreadsheets, paper forms, email threads, and separate records?
That idea became TheaterClarity.
Now that it’s here, my hope is pretty simple: that TheaterClarity helps community-theater people spend less time fussing over the necessary things and more time doing the creative things that brought them to theater in the first place.
